Less than two weeks away!

I can hardly believe that I will move across the world in two weeks. I know that I have been preparing to do this for over two months now, but it still surprises me how close my departure date actually is. My living room at home is an absolute mess with all of clothes, suitcases, and random possessions. I know that my parents are sad to see me go, but I think that they will be excited to have the room back. Everything has been coming together nicely. Though there is a lot still to do, I have more checked off my list than items still to be completed. I just have a lot of loose ends to tie up: getting a shot, picking out what t-shirts to pack, and cutting my hair to a reasonable length.
My commissioning service was just this past Sunday, and it went beautifully. I was so thankful to have so much of my family and three of my closest friends with me to celebrate this special time. Over the past two weeks I have had a lot of fear about this big step, but Sunday really helped to restore peace and strengthen my faith. I felt very loved and supported by everyone there. I am still nervous, but I go confidently knowing that I am loved and cared for.
The largest hurdle left to jump is packing, actually fitting everything into my two suitcases and one carry-on. Space bags are a wonderful invention; they should really help the cause.
Please continue to keep me in your prayers as I work on my final preparations for my journey.
Blessings,
Colleen
